Job Description

About Hygenco:

Hygenco aims to be a global leader in deploying Green Hydrogen- and Green Ammonia-powered

industry solutions. We develop and deploy scaled-up, commercially attractive Green Hydrogen

and Green Ammonia production assets. We combine our in-house expertise in renewable power,

process industry, gases, and project financing with the latest innovation and know-how from our

network of global OEMs and EPC firms. Hygenco is founded by industry professionals bringing in

combined 30+ years of experience in Construction, Renewables, Operations & Maintenance, Investment Banking, and Private Equity.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering

Experience:

  • 6–8 years in industrial gases (Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen), electrolysers, ASUs, or continuous process plants (petrochemicals, fertilisers, etc.), including solar/wind-integrated power operations
  • Minimum 2 years in a managerial/supervisory role with customer-facing responsibility
  • Hands-on exposure to substations, grid-tied inverters, power electronics, and water treatment systems used in hydrogen electrolysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plant Operations & Performance
  • Monitor daily plant performance, equipment health, and efficiency; prepare daily/monthly reports
  • Support commissioning, shutdowns, and trip response; troubleshoot operational issues in real time
  • Drive power management and optimisation across solar/wind/grid inputs
  • Process Improvement
  • Develop and implement SOPs for consistency across sites
  • Apply Lean/Six Sigma and digital tools (including AI-based platforms) to identify efficiency and cost-reduction opportunities
  • Track KPIs and recommend corrective actions
  • Safety & Statutory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with statutory/regulatory requirements (factory license, PESO/explosives rules, pollution control board norms, electrical safety codes, etc.)
  • Implement and audit plant safety protocols, PTW systems, and emergency response procedures
  • Maintain compliance documentation and liaise with regulatory bodies during inspections
  • Team & People Management
  • Lead and schedule site operations personnel
  • Conduct training on safe operating procedures and technical upskilling
  • Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement among shift/field teams
  • Customer & Stakeholder Handling
  • Act as primary site-level point of contact for customers/off-takers on operational matters
  • Manage escalations, SLAs, and reporting commitments to customers and central management
  • Coordinate with engineering/projects teams on improvement plans.
