We are a fast-scaling product organization building an enterprise-grade platform for the US behavioral health market. Our solution supports scheduling, billing, compliance, integrations, and ecosystem connectivity with payers, providers, and EHR systems.

The platform is governance-oriented and AI-enhanced, designed to improve operational efficiency for large behavioral healthcare enterprises serving patients, including those with autism spectrum disorder.

Role Overview

The Associate Engineering Manager (AEM) will work closely with the Engineering Manager and be responsible for ensuring predictable delivery, maintaining engineering quality standards, and aligning teams with business-critical priorities.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited for someone with strong technical grounding and early management experience, ready to grow into a full Engineering Manager role under senior guidance.

The ideal candidate is organized, execution-focused, communicative, and capable of translating strategy into structured delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivery & Execution

  • Support sprint planning, estimation, and delivery tracking across pods.
  • Identify dependencies and risks early; escalate appropriately.
  • Track sprint execution daily/weekly and help unblock teams.
  • Ensure urgent and high-priority business requirements are delivered on time.
  • Maintain alignment with senior engineering leadership.

2. Engineering Quality & Standards

  • Define and implement quality metrics (code health, defect rates, release stability).
  • Promote automation-first mindset for regression and new features.
  • Support QA automation coverage goals with QA leads.
  • Track quality metrics and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Support code quality and solution design reviews with follow-through.

3. Team Alignment & Leadership

  • Partner with Tech Leads and QA Leads to balance speed and quality.
  • Coach engineers and QA on accountability, estimation, and delivery practices.
  • Foster ownership and predictable execution culture.
  • Encourage continuous improvement within the team.

4. Priority & Business Alignment

  • Understand product and customer priorities as directed by leadership.
  • Align engineering efforts to enterprise customer impact.
  • Balance roadmap initiatives with immediate customer needs.

5. Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Communicate risks, priorities, and dependencies clearly.
  • Maintain proactive alignment with US-based stakeholders.
  • Provide structured updates to leadership and customers when required.

6. Reporting & Visibility

  • Provide visibility into sprint health, release quality, automation progress, and risks.
  • Contribute to dashboards and reporting systems showcasing execution strength.
  • Ensure leadership has clear insights into delivery predictability.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a leadership role (Tech Lead / Sub-team Lead / Similar).
  • Hands-on experience with Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives).
  • Strong understanding of dependency management across teams.
  • Experience with engineering quality metrics.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in product-based companies preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in .NET (C#) and ASP.NET MVC applications.
  • Exposure to US Healthcare / SaaS / Practice Management domains.
  • Familiarity with enterprise customer environments.
  • Experience in high-growth product organizations.
