Job Description
Position Title: Associate Engineer/Engineer MSS, Managed Services
Location: Noida, India
As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including switches, wireless LAN controllers (WLCs), firewalls, and other networking and security technologies. Your role will focus on ensuring the availability, reliability, and optimal performance of network devices, while maintaining compliance with security standards and organizational policies.
You will typically work under general guidance for routine tasks and receive detailed instructions for new projects and assignments. In the position of Associate Engineer/Engineer, you will report to the Team Lead or Supervisor and follow a hybrid work schedule based in Noida, India.
Your Responsibilities:
- 24x7 monitoring track the performance and status of Network Devices such as Switches, Firewalls and WLCs etc.
- Perform regular network monitoring and maintenance to ensure optimal network performance and uptime.
- Diagnose and resolve network issues, both independently and in collaboration with the Global team, to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Configure and maintain network equipment and devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Provide technical support to end-users, addressing network-related problems and assisting with connectivity issues.
- Working with change tools to maintain client SLAs.
- Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and SOPs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network-related projects and upgrades.
- Monitor network performance, identify trends, and generate reports to proactively address potential issues.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely resolution of issues and optimal utilization of services.
- Knowledge of IP addressing, subnets, and network protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues.
- Knowledge of Switching Technology like VLAN, VTP, DTP, EtherChannel, SPAN, RSPAN and STP.
- Knowledge of Routing Technology - Static Routing and Dynamic Routing like RIP, EIGRP and OSPF.
- Should have basic knowledge of Network Security.
- Should have basic knowledge of Windows server and VM, Vcentre will be added advantage.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field required or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as Windows and VMware Administrator.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
Functional
- Exposure to advanced network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Experience with automation and scripting for network configuration and management.
- Knowledge of cloud networking concepts and integration with on-premises infrastructure.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
- Experience working in managed services or enterprise-level environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management frameworks.
