Job Summary

Responsible for preparing lease review recommendations for real estate properties. This includes reviewing lease agreements, loan agreements and PSA's ensuring compliance with lease terms and the role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with Borrowers, Other Servicers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lease Management: Reviewing lease agreements and amendments for Investment Advisory clients.
  • Abstracting key clauses (termination options, co-tenancy, TI/LC obligations, rent levels, reimbursement methods).
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with lease terms and relevant regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records of lease agreements, tenant information, and property details.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for Borrowers regarding lease-related inquiries, issues.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyse reports on lease status, occupancy rates, and financial performance and provide recommendations
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship.
  • Training and Mentoring: Capability to train and mentor another team member
  • SOP Preparation: Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various processes.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Lines of Business (LOB) to identify and solve business problems.
  • Deep Subject Knowledge: Extensive understanding of Lease Review Process
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Proficiency in using Excel for data analysis, including functions, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in commerce or related field
  • 6+ years of lease analysis experience, preferably with additional expertise in commercial mortgage servicing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial for engaging with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Demonstrated capacity to achieve results in a fast-paced, high-volume, and dynamic setting.
  • Organizational and administrative skills that reflect attention to detail and the ability to prioritize amidst competing demands.
  • Coordination: Work closely with property managers, legal teams, and other stakeholders to facilitate lease processes
  • Strong work ethics and a sense of urgency.
  • Skilled in managing sensitive information while upholding privacy.
  • Handling workload and special projects efficiently.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment, with strong multitasking skills.
