Job Description

Ensure Direct and Indirect tax compliance for Nuvama group 7 domestic and 6 overseas entities by stipulated timelines, review of Tax Returns, handle assessment proceedings, appeals etc. Assist in new Business and product advisory. Contribute to technology & other functional initiatives related to compliances.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Ensure monthly TDS payments, quarterly Advance Tax Payments etc
  • Review data for tax assessments, Tax and Transfer Pricing audits, Tax Returns, FATCA/ CRS, SFT, STT and other filings • Advise business on various products
  • Build relationship and network with revenue officials, auditors, consultants and internal customers • Optimize overall tax cost and constantly look for opportunities
  • Manage and review tax assets, advise accounting entries as applicable, obtain lower TDS certificates, follow up for Tax refunds etc
  • Review monthly /quarterly / annual GST compliances • Conduct tax reviews with Seniors at periodic intervals
  • Handle and track past litigation matters and co-ordinate with consultants/ counsels
  • Coordinate with other entities & process owners for details required for Tax compliance
  • Coordinate with Internal and Statutory Auditors • Manage and review tax balances, advise tax accounting entries as applicable etc

Qualifications:

Chartered Accountant (preferably from a Bank/ diversified Financial Services firm). Expert knowledge and application of the provisions of Income tax and GST is a must.

Experience: 15+ years

Functional Competencies:

  • Operational level knowledge of IndAS, Income tax and GST laws and reporting, online filing of Tax Returns, drafting of responses and other regulatory requirements
  • Advanced level knowledge of Accounting Software, Microsoft Office, Tax Compliance Software and ERP
