Job Description

Job Summary

This role is responsible for driving growth and expanding Transamerica Life (Bermuda) (TLB) Singapore's High Net Worth insurance business across International Brokerage and Bancassurance distribution channels. As a key market-facing professional and ambassador of TLB Singapore, the incumbent will cultivate strong strategic partnerships, strengthen distributor engagement, and drive sales excellence through effective relationship management, business development initiatives and sales enablement programs.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve agreed sales targets and key business objectives for assigned accounts, ensuring alignment with TLB Singapore's strategic growth priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted partner and primary relationship manager for distributors, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders across International Brokerage and Bancassurance channels.
  • Actively identify, evaluate and develop new distribution opportunities and commercially viable partnerships to expand TLB Singapore's market reach and presence.
  • Strengthen and deepen existing distributor relationships to enhance business productivity, increase market penetration, and broaden TLB Singapore's distribution footprint.
  • Represent TLB Singapore as a credible and influential market ambassador, enhancing the company's brand presence and reputation within the industry and among key distribution partners.
  • Drive distributor engagement through tailored sales initiatives, joint business planning and strategic activities that support sustainable growth and improved business outcomes.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to distributors and internal stakeholders on product solutions, sales strategies, case structuring and illustration requirements, particularly for HNW clients.
  • Deliver high-quality product, technical and sales training programs to distributors, ensuring strong product knowledge and effective sales capabilities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market developments, competitor activities, emerging customer needs and industry trends to identify growth opportunities and potential business risks.
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence and distributor feedback to support product innovation, proposition enhancement and business strategy development.
  • Monitor sales pipeline health, distributor performance, market trends and regulatory developments, implementing appropriate actions to drive business performance and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and support team members on day-to-day business matters, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Lead or participate in strategic initiatives, special projects and other assignments as delegated by management.

Requirements

  • Possess at least a degree qualification.
  • Minimum 12 years of multiple channel business development relevant experience within the life insurance industry.
  • Have advanced level of product knowledge of the high-net-worth insurance products such as Universal Life, Index Universal Life,others, with demonstrated experience in product training with sound sales techniques.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix organization
  • Strategic thinking with strong execution capability.
  • Proactive, result oriented, with can-do attitude and capacity to think out of the box
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Have good organization skills and be meticulous paying attention to details.
