We are seeking an experienced Associate Director – Statutory Audit to lead complex audit engagements, manage high-performing teams, and deliver exceptional client service. This role is ideal for a Chartered Accountant with extensive post-qualification experience in statutory audits, strong technical expertise in accounting and auditing standards, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements effectively.
As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for planning and executing audits, providing technical guidance on financial reporting frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building strong client relationships. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, mentor audit professionals, and contribute to the firm's quality standards while driving operational excellence across engagements.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage statutory audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
- Develop audit strategies, perform risk assessments, and establish audit plans based on client business requirements.
- Review financial statements, audit documentation, and working papers to ensure compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance on accounting standards, financial reporting frameworks, and complex audit matters.
- Advise clients on financial reporting, compliance, and technical accounting issues, including IFRS and other applicable standards.
- Manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously while ensuring efficient resource allocation and project execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Mentor, coach, and develop audit professionals while promoting technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Prepare audit reports, review engagement deliverables, support proposal preparation, and participate in billing and commercial discussions.
- Ensure adherence to audit methodologies, quality standards, compliance requirements, and firm policies while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 9 years of relevant post-qualification experience in statutory auditing.
- Prior experience with reputed audit and consulting firms; candidates with previous audit firm experience are highly preferred.
- Strong expertise in Ind AS, IFRS, statutory audits, financial reporting, and consulting engagements.
- Thorough knowledge of Corporate Law, Companies Act, Accounting Standards, Auditing Standards, CARO, and regulatory compliance.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and international accounting frameworks is an added advantage.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple engagements, manage teams, and deliver high-quality outcomes within deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
- Proven ability to engage with senior client stakeholders, manage complex discussions, and build long-term professional relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in proposal preparation, engagement management, and billing coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with a proactive, client-focused, and results-driven approach.
