We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist
- Design and Engineer highly scalable, performant and fault tolerant applications
- Evolve Microservice Architecture, Event Driven Architecture contributing to Architecture vision
- Partner with Solution Architects, and other tech leads to translate technical design into high quality, production ready applications
- Design solutions considering Security, Infrastructure, Data governance as expected by the Bank's policies.
- Contribute to system and API Design, ensuring modularity and maintainability
- Ensuring Coding Standards and drive best practices in coding, testing and documentation
- Mentor Junior engineer, conduct code review & provide technical leadership
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant controls and standards including relevant Service Management Standard.
- Manage and ensure on-time and quality of delivery to meet business expectation.
- Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of Java 8+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Kubernetes & Docker, Databases, Public Cloud Platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Should have deep knowledge of MicroService Architecture, Event Driven Architecture.
- Should demonstrate in depth knowledge of Design Patterns and Principles to encourage reusability, maintainability
- Should have expert knowledge of Design and Development of APIs (REST APIs , GraphQL APIs)
- Experience of both SQL & NoSQL Databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandara.
- Experience of at least one of the middleware technologies like Kafka, IBM QUE or RabbitMQ.
- Should have exposure of implementing Security measures, Authentication and authorization using JWT, oAUTH, TLS.
- Should have exposure to DevOps tooling & implementing CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker.
- Technical leadership of large team of developers and help development of team capabilities. Work with senior business stakeholders.
- Drive end to end delivery of Business-facing applications with high quality and low maintenance, within the committed timelines.
