What the day will look like
Aon's Global Client Network (AGCN) under Commercial Risk Solutions (CRS) provide high-quality risk and insurance advisory, placement, and servicing solutions to corporate and multinational organisations in Singapore and globally.
The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of local, inbound and outbound multinational clients, lead a high-performing team, and be responsible for delivering quality client management and servicing outcomes. The role includes developing and implementing risk and insurance solutions, managing multinational programmes, driving business growth and client retention, fostering strategic client relationships, and ensuring operational excellence, governance, and compliance. The candidate is also expected to collaborate across Aon's global network to deliver integrated Aon United solutions and achieve team and business objectives.
Client advisory and servicing
- Manage client relationships and understand clients needs in a holistic manner.
- Set service scope, deliverables and expectations with clients and stakeholders.
- Advise clients on risk management, general insurance issues, local statutory insurance requirements and potential solutions.
- Design, strategise, place, renew and manage insurance programmes across Property & Casualty lines.
- Review insurance programme performance, perform claims analysis and recommend risk improvement actions where possible.
- Ensure policy administration matters are carried out accurately and timely, including documentation, invoicing and collection.
- Review clients contractual insurance requirements and provide practical recommendations.
Multinational client servicing and AGCN management
- Collaborate with overseas Aon offices and producing offices to service local operations of multinational clients.
- Design, optimise and implement clients global insurance programmes as applicable.
- Set service scope, remuneration and fee arrangements in accordance with AGCN guidelines and tools.
- Coordinate with and report to Aon producing offices, regional teams and local stakeholders.
- Communicate clients global risk management philosophy and programme intent to local clients and servicing teams.
- Ensure instructions are communicated to and implemented by local Aon offices where relevant.
- Administer covers provided by global insurance programmes and utilise global account management platforms.
Delivering Aon United (DAU)
- Propose solutions across risk, insurance and other Aon solution areas to support client needs.
- Engage and work closely with Aon business units, specialties and regional teams to deliver integrated Aon United solutions.
- Keep up to date on Aon IQ and relevant solutions across Aon business units.
- Execute and utilise client-related value propositions, systems and processes, including relevant risk analysers, Aon Brokers Guide, Global Account Management System and Aon WorkComp.
Lead and coach a team of colleagues
- Provide guidance on technical insurance, client servicing and operational matters.
- Support staff on organic growth, cross-selling and new business development opportunities.
- Achieve team annual budget, portfolio retention and organic business growth targets.
- Mentor staff in their professional development and build a cohesive, high-performance team.
- Drive accountability, operational discipline, governance and service excellence across the team.
Beyond own team
- Act as a subject matter expert on selected client industries, technical solutions or multinational programme matters.
- Develop and share solutions beyond the immediate team.
- Participate in and contribute to winning new clients.
- Work on projects, process improvements and cross-department collaborations.
- Comply with company procedures and processes.
- Any other roles and responsibilities assigned.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Bachelor Degree or Diploma.
- General Insurance academic qualifications, ACII or equivalent would be advantageous.
- At least 12 years of experience in the insurance industry, including experience in the Singapore insurance market and with corporate and/or multinational clients.
- Strong technical knowledge across Property & Casualty insurance lines and multinational programme management.
- Meticulous, independent, proactive, efficient and able to multi-task.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with commercial acumen and client relationship management capability.
- Proven people leadership, coaching and team management experience.
- Pleasant and positive personality, adaptable to change and solutions-oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and relevant account management platforms.
- A strong team player with ability to collaborate across local, regional and global teams.
