Lilly Bengaluru serves as a global hub for innovation, operational excellence, and enterprise scalability. Within this center, the Commercialization Capabilities organization plays a pivotal role in enabling Lillyu2019s commercial teams worldwide. It supports the end-to-end commercialization lifecycle through five core focus areas: Business Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), Global Operations Sales Organization (GOSO) u2013 FFE and Innovation, Global Content Hub (GCH), Omnichannel and personalization and Commercial Learning Services (CLS).

To further elevate Lilly Bengaluruu2019s strategic impact, we are seeking an strategy, operational execution lead to serve as Associate Director of AI, Strategy and Transformation. This role is important to shaping and executing Lillyu2019s global commercialization strategy, with a particular focus on enablement of defining and operationalizing the AI and automation agenda across commercial functions. The role requires deep collaboration with Tech@Lilly, global affiliates, and senior leadership to drive enterprise-wide transformation, unlock scalable efficiencies, and future-proof Lillyu2019s commercial model. This is a high-impact opportunity to influence the future of global commercial operations and deliver measurable value across the organization.

This position reports to the Senior Director and Head of AI, Strategy and Transformation at Global Commercialization Capabilities and Innovation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the operational execution of the Strategy, AI and automation agenda across all commercialization capabilities functions, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and seamless integration with Tech@Lilly and global affiliates.
  • Portfolio, program and project management of portfolio of projects in AI, Strategy and Transformation
  • Storyboarding, strategic communication tools (e.g. PPTs) and business case development, executive board level presentations, converting ideas into projects and managing them through project management life cycle.
  • Product development in collaboration with Tech@Lilly and other business line functions.
  • Serve as a thought partner and execution lead to the Senior Director and Head of AI, Strategy and Transformation, in managing day to day operations, enabling development and execution of enterprise-level strategies that shape the future of Lillyu2019s global commercial operations.
  • Support in driving high-impact transformation initiatives that span process optimization, digital innovation, and operational excellenceu2014delivering measurable improvements in scalability, efficiency, and business value.
  • Oversee complex, cross-functional programs that address global business challenges and unlock new growth opportunities across Lillyu2019s commercial ecosystem.
  • Leverage advanced analytics, data modeling, and business intelligence to define and track KPIs, assess performance gaps, and influence senior stakeholders toward continuous improvement.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, productivity and agility by embedding AI-driven solutions into commercialization workflows and enabling global teams to adopt and scale these capabilities.
  • Enable strategic alignment and shared consciousness across internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely, informed decision-making and enterprise-wide collaboration.
  • Support organizational change management efforts to support the next phase of growth, capability building, and cultural transformation across the commercial organization.
  • u00A0Support the team in financial planning and resource allocation to ensure optimal investment in strategic priorities and innovation initiatives.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, MTech, MSc, M.Pharm) or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industry, with a strong focus on commercial operations, enterprise strategy, or transformation.
  • Experience in global consulting firms (desirable 2+ years) in driving strategy, AI, digital transformation initiatives and managing executive level communications.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining and executing AI and automation strategies at a global scale, including collaboration with technology organizations and affiliate markets.
  • Proven expertise in PPTs, excel, power BI, automation and AI tools u2013 hands on execution experience for MVP development
  • Proven success in leading large-scale, cross-functional transformation initiatives that drive measurable business impact across global commercial functions.
  • Deep understanding of global capability center operations and affiliate business environments, with a track record of influencing enterprise-wide decisions.
  • Strong expertise in performance measurement, operational governance, and strategic business planning. Experience in LSS project deliveries using DMAIC, DFSS, Design Thinking frameworks.
  • Exceptional ability to influence senior stakeholders, drive alignment across diverse teams, and lead through complexity and ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team development skills, with a passion for mentoring and capability building.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma and AI/Digital certification.
  • Experience with digital product development, automation, or AI in a commercial or clinical context.
  • Familiarity with Lillyu2019s commercial model or similar global pharmaceutical frameworks.
  • Experience working in or with global capability centers and cross-border teams.
