We are seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Director - Public Relations to drive impactful PR campaigns, enhance brand reputation, and cultivate strong relationships with media, clients, and stakeholders. You will be a key leader in driving PR strategies and client communications for a diverse range of clients. You will lead a dynamic team of PR professionals, working closely with account management, creative teams, and clients to deliver compelling public relations campaigns. Your expertise in media relations, crisis communications, and content strategy will play a critical role in enhancing our clients brand reputation and securing top-tier media coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic PR plans for clients across various industries, including media relations, thought leadership, content creation, and crisis communications.
- Work directly with clients to understand their brand, vision, and goals to align PR strategies that drive results.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights, recommendations, and creative PR solutions to meet their communication needs.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, influencers, and bloggers in the industry.
- Lead the development and distribution of press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials tailored to client needs.
- Secure media coverage and manage media inquiries for clients, coordinating interviews, press conferences, and other media interactions.
- Ensure effective collaboration between PR, creative, and strategy teams to deliver cohesive and integrated client campaigns.
- Support professional development by coaching team members and providing opportunities for growth within the agency.
- Regularly report on campaign performance and provide actionable insights to clients, demonstrating PR value and ROI.
- Contribute to new business development by identifying PR opportunities for potential clients and presenting strategies to win new accounts.
- Lead or support pitch efforts for new business, leveraging your PR expertise and understanding of clients needs.
- PR budgets for client campaigns, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximum return on investment.
- Work with senior leadership on resource planning and project scoping for client campaigns.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Master's degree in Public Relations, Mass Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in PR, corporate communications, or media relations within the advertising or media industry.
- Established relationships with media and industry influencers.
- Exceptional storytelling, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong expertise in crisis management and brand reputation handling.
- Experience in managing and mentoring a team of PR professionals.
- Proficiency in digital PR, social media strategy, and media monitoring tools.
- Ability to multitask, work under tight deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
