Job Description

Overview

The PLM Solution Architect is responsible for designing and governing theend-to-end solution architecture that enables business capabilities while ensuring technical success, scalability, and compliance with enterprise standards. This role acts as a bridge between business requirements and technology implementation.

PepsiCo R&D is currently on a journey to transform the way they manage specification management as part of our Product Lifecycle Management transformation with Siemens Teamcenter.


Responsibilities

  • Architectural Design
    • Define conceptual and logical architecture for solutions within the PLM EcoSystem
    • Develop integration patterns and data flows across multiple enterprise solutions.
  • Governance & Compliance
    • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles and technology standards.
    • Collaborate with Domain Architects for strategy and compliance.
  • Delivery Support
    • Guide development teams on solution components and dependencies.
    • Participate in solution testing, cutover planning, and change management.
  • Decision Facilitation
    • Drive critical design decisions and resolve technical risks.
    • Provide alternative approaches for complex problems.
    • Partner with Solution Integrators to ensure design best practices

Qualifications

  • Candidate should have 14-18 Years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree/master's in computer science, Management of Information Systems
  • Minimum 12 Years of experience in Technology Architecture
  • Strong understanding of business processes and solution functionality within CPG industries.
  • Siemens PLM stack: Teamcenter PLM (data model, workflows, integrations), AIG/T4EA, Active Workspace/Rich Client, and broader Xcelerator portfolio understanding.
  • Enterprise integration Patterns: Web services/SOA, REST APIs, message queues, and integrating PLM/Siemens solutions T4EA with ERP (SAP), and other enterprise systems.
  • Architecture skills: System and solution architecture design, multi-site deployments, scalability and performance tuning, security and access control, and variant/configuration management.
  • Familiarity with adjacent enterprise platforms: ERP (SAP ECC / S4 HANA), Regulatory & Compliance, FoodChainID F4PLM, Project & Portfolio Management (Planisware, 3DX, etc.) is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and propose scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with comfort escalating issues when needed.
  • Collaborative mindset with a service-oriented approach to internal stakeholders.
