Job Description

As our Associate Director of Sales – Banquet Sales, you will lead the strategic direction and execution of banquet and event sales, driving revenue growth through high-impact social and corporate events. You will play a pivotal role in positioning the hotel as a preferred destination for weddings, conferences, and large-scale functions, while mentoring the sales team and strengthening key client relationships.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:

  • Leading and executing the banquet sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets across corporate, social, and wedding segments
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, event planners, wedding planners, and industry partners
  • Identifying new business opportunities and market segments to expand the hotel's banquet and event portfolio
  • Overseeing contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and event packages to maximize profitability and market competitiveness
  • Guiding and supporting the banquet sales team to ensure high performance, productivity, and achievement of individual and team goals
  • Conducting high-level client meetings, presentations, and site inspections to showcase the hotel's event capabilities
  • Collaborating closely with operations, culinary, and events teams to ensure flawless execution and exceptional guest experiences
  • Representing the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking platforms to enhance brand visibility and generate leads
  • Partnering with marketing to develop targeted campaigns, promotions, and digital strategies to drive event business
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge
  • Ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting, and CRM management for all banquet sales activities

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher education qualification in Business Administration, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in hotel sales, with a strong focus on banquet and event sales
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of driving revenue growth and managing high-performing sales teams
  • Strong business acumen with expertise in negotiations, pricing strategies, and revenue optimization
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple high-value clients and complex events simultaneously
  • In-depth knowledge of local and regional banquet and events market trends
