Role Title: Senior Manager / Associate Director – IT Sales (Software & AI Solutions) (Part-Time / Contract/Independent consultant)

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior, hands-on sales leader with strong experience selling custom software, AI, and GenAI-driven solutions to mid-market customers. This is a part-time / contract role designed for someone who can independently own pipeline, shape solutions, and close deals in fast-moving software and AI buying cycles.

This role requires comfort selling outcomes, not just effort—such as automation, efficiency, AI enablement, and product acceleration.

Key Responsibilities

1. Software & AI Sales Ownership

  • Own the complete sales cycle for software and AI services deals (USD 50K–250K)
  • Engage founders, CXOs, Heads of Engineering, Product, Data, and Innovation
  • Drive discovery conversations focused on business impact and ROI

2. Solutioning Leadership

Shape solutions involving:

  • Custom software development
  • SaaS product engineering
  • GenAI & AI agents
  • Cloud-native and platform modernization

Work closely with pre-sales and engineering teams to create pragmatic, scalable solutions

Lead proposals, pricing, and SOW finalization

3. Account Entry & Expansion

  • Open new mid-market logos
  • Identify AI-led upsell and expansion opportunities post initial engagement
  • Ensure smooth transition from sales to delivery teams

What This Role Is NOT

  • Not an SDR or lead-generation-only role
  • Not a full-time sales quota role
  • Not responsible for delivery execution

Required Experience & Skills

  • 8–10 years of experience selling software and AI services / solutions
  • Proven success with mid-market deal sizes (USD 50K–250K)
  • Experience selling to US, UAE and/or UK customers with offshore delivery
  • Strong understanding of:

Custom software & SaaS development

AI / GenAI use cases

  • Ability to sell AI outcomes, not just engineering hours
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and executive communication skills

Engagement Expectations

  • Time commitment: 25–30% of full-time
  • High ownership with minimal supervision
  • Performance reviewed every 90 days

Engagement Type

  • Independent Contractor / Consultant
  • Non-exclusive engagement (unless otherwise agreed)

Compensation Structure

1. Monthly Retainer

₹35,000 – ₹50,000 per month

(Finalized based on experience, AI domain depth, and network strength and fit)

2. Commission

Revenue-Based: 5% – 8% of net collected revenue

3. Commission Payout Terms

50% on first invoice realization

50% after 60–90 days of stable delivery

Commission applicable only on collected revenue

Deal Registration & Ownership

  • All opportunities must be registered in CRM or an agreed tracker
  • Commission applies only to deals:
  • Sourced and actively driven by the contractor
  • Commission eligibility covers:
  • Initial deal + one expansion cycle (up to 12 months)

Performance Expectations

  • Close 2 mid-market software / AI deals per quarter
  • Maintain 3× pipeline coverage

Term & Termination

  • Initial contract term: 3 months
  • Either party may terminate with 15 days written notice
  • No commission payable for deals not closed and collected post-termination

Confidentiality, IP & AI Assets

  • All IP, models, prompts, code, datasets, and client materials belong to the company
  • Strict confidentiality during and after engagement

Conflict of Interest

  • Disclosure required for competing software or AI services firms
  • Company reserves right to restrict overlapping engagements

Legal & Compliance

  • Contractor responsible for taxes and statutory compliance
  • Engagement does not constitute employment
