About Urban Company

Urban Company is a technology platform offering customers a variety of services at home. Customers use our platform to book services such as beauty treatments, haircuts, massage therapy, cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, painting etc., all delivered in the comfort of their home and at a time of their choosing. We promise our customers a high-quality, standardized and reliable service experience. To fulfill this promise, we work closely with our hand-picked service partners, enabling them with technology, training, products, tools, financing, insurance, and brand, helping them succeed and deliver on this promise.

Urban Company started out as UrbanClap in Nov 2014, when its founders, Abhiraj, Raghav and Varun realized that the home services industry was predominantly unorganized, fragmented and offline. Customers found it difficult to avail quality services in a convenient manner, and service professionals were struggling to make ends meet, having to rely upon several middlemen, contractors, and local aggregators. The founders felt that the industry was ripe for disruption, and launched Urban Company, with three key principles in mind -

What will you do

As a leader for Cleaning & Pest Control, you will be the CEO of Demand for our largest and most complex business cluster, covering Bathroom & Kitchen Cleaning, Full Home Deep Cleaning, and Pest Control. Your mandate is to move the needle on top-line growth while building a brand that customers trust for their most intimate home needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Consumer Insight & Empathy: Go beyond the data. Spend time with customers and service partners to understand the why behind the what. Identify the triggers and barriers for professional cleaning versus the unorganized sector.

2. Growth Charter & Problem Identification: Take a first-principles approach to identify why a category isn't growing faster. Is it a frequency issue A trust deficit You will define the 6-12 month roadmap to unlock exponential growth.

3. Full-Stack Brand Marketing: Lead the creative and media strategy for the cleaning cluster. Whether it's a massive TVC or a hyper-targeted digital InstaHelp campaign, you will ensure the brand remains salient and top of mind.

4. Pricing & Revenue Strategy: Own the P&L levers. You will design pricing experiments, loyalty constructs, and promotional guardrails to optimize for both market share and unit economics.

Who Should Apply

You have experience in brand/content management, growth in start ups, or top-tier consulting.

You get a kick out of building things and growing them, you aren't afraid of ambiguity.

You are comfortable with data analytics and data visualization but can also write a compelling creative brief that inspires an agency.
