Petrochemicals & Chemicals Practice | Mumbai / Hybrid
We are hiring an experienced Associate Director to lead client engagements, drive business growth, and deliver large-scale transformation programs within the Petrochemicals & Chemicals practice.
This role combines revenue ownership, consulting delivery, and deep industry expertise, working closely with senior stakeholders to shape and execute strategic agendas.
Role Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Ownership
- Own and drive revenue targets for the petrochemicals and chemicals segment
- Identify and convert opportunities across growth strategy, operational excellence, supply chain transformation, and sustainability
- Lead proposals, solution design, and commercial structuring
- Build and manage senior stakeholder and CXO relationships
Engagement Leadership
- Lead multiple consulting engagements with accountability for delivery, quality, and profitability
- Oversee complex programs across petrochemical value chains, including olefins, aromatics, polymers, and specialty chemicals
- Provide strategic recommendations and ensure strong governance and risk management
Industry Expertise & Thought Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor on sector trends and transformation priorities
- Provide insights on feedstock economics, margins, and market dynamics
- Contribute to thought leadership and industry publications
Client Relationship Management
- Drive account growth through cross-selling and account mining
- Position the firm as a long-term strategic partner
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and mentor cross-functional consulting teams
- Develop team capabilities in domain and consulting toolkits
- Support hiring, performance management, and team development
Practice Development
- Support practice strategy and go-to-market initiatives
- Build reusable frameworks, solutions, and knowledge assets
- Collaborate with global teams to leverage best practices
Candidate Profile
- 10–12 years of experience in consulting or the petrochemicals/chemicals industry
- Proven track record in selling and delivering consulting engagements
- Strong experience in strategy and transformation programs
- Deep understanding of petrochemical and chemical value chains
- Experience managing large teams and multi-workstream programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Petrochemical Engineering (mandatory)
- MBA from a top-tier institute (preferred)
Preferred Background
- Experience with global consulting firms or large petrochemical/chemical organizations
- Strong industry network
- Exposure to India and/or international markets
