Job Description: Associate Director Legal Compliance
Position Overview
Mindsprint is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic professional for the role of Associate Director Legal Compliance with a predominant focus on sanctions advisory. This leadership position requires 15-16 years of progressive experience in legal compliance, particularly in providing strategic guidance on sanctions across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in enhancing our global compliance framework, developing and implementing impactful training, and driving policy excellence in a complex, fast-paced, and international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Sanctions Advisory
- Monitor, analyze, and communicate global regulatory developments related to sanctions, proactively advising business units (BUs) on compliance implications.
- Provide expert advice on sanctions regulations and their application to the company's operations and transactions worldwide.
- Develop clear, actionable, and easy-to-understand advisories and guidance for cross-functional stakeholders to facilitate sound business decision-making.
- Training Development & Implementation
- Identify and assess additional compliance training needs beyond standard modules, focusing on areas relevant to clients diverse global business operations.
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance training content to address emerging risks, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
- SOPs & Policies
- Draft, review, and update compliance policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure they are current with evolving regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Work closely with business and functional teams to embed compliance policies into operational processes, ensuring robust adherence and practical implementation.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration initiatives to strengthen the overall policy framework and foster a culture of compliance across the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- 15-16 years of progressive experience in legal compliance, with a significant focus on sanctions advisory in a global business context.
- In-depth knowledge of international sanctions regimes, including but not limited to OFAC, EU, and UN sanctions.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate complex regulatory requirements in a clear and business-friendly manner.
- Proven track record in developing and delivering compliance training programs at a global scale.
- Experience in drafting, updating, and implementing compliance policies and SOPs.
- Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and influencing skills.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and project management abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Compliance, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
