Role Overview:
The Associate Director is a senior executive leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, cross-functional integration, and sustainable business growth across the organization. You will work from our comfortable and conveniently located Bangalore office during the evening shift (4:30 PM IST to 1:00 AM IST), five days a week. The Associate Director ensures that all departments operate cohesively to achieve organizational goals, optimize efficiency, and deliver projects successfully. The role involves translating strategic direction into operational execution, strengthening interdepartmental collaboration, and ensuring consistent performance across all business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Provide leadership and oversight across all core departments: Project Coordination, Estimating (QS), Outsourcing, Procurement, Finance, and HR.
- Lead and integrate all core departments to function as a cohesive, high-performing unit.
- Establish clear interdependencies, workflows, and accountability across teams.
- Eliminate operational silos and ensure alignment toward common business goals.
2. Operational & Business Leadership
- Own day-to-day operations and ensure alignment with organizational strategy.
- Drive execution discipline, productivity, and operational efficiency across functions.
- Translate strategic priorities into measurable deliverables across departments.
3. Project Delivery Oversight
- Oversee the full project lifecycle from estimation to execution and closure.
- Ensure coordination between Estimating, Procurement, and Project teams for accuracy and efficiency.
- Drive on-time, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery.
4. Financial & Commercial Accountability
- Partner with Finance to manage budgets, forecasting, and overall financial performance.
- Ensure cost control, margin optimization, and commercial alignment across departments.
5. Process & Systems Excellence
- Design and implement standardized processes to improve cross-functional efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement through data, reporting, and performance tracking.
6. People & Leadership Development
- Build and mentor department leaders to strengthen organizational capability.
- Work with HR on talent strategy, workforce planning, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
7. Stakeholder Management
- Engage with key clients and stakeholders to ensure delivery excellence and satisfaction.
- Represent the organization in strategic and high-impact engagements.
Requirements:
Experience
- 12–18+ years in construction, with significant leadership experience
- Proven track record of managing multiple departments and cross-functional teams
- Experience in delivering complex, large-scale projects
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- MBA or equivalent preferred
