Role Purpose

This is a senior role within the Finance function, responsible for end-to-end financial reporting for a complex, multi-jurisdictional group. The individual will oversee financial reporting across multiple legal entities spanning India and international locations including Singapore, Dubai, Malaysia and Thailand. The role demands deep technical accounting expertise, strong audit management experience, and the ability to work closely with Big 4 auditors, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities we entrust you with

1. Group Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Lead end-to-end preparation of consolidated and standalone financial statements in compliance with Ind AS / IFRS
  • Oversee financial reporting across all multiple entities covering India and international jurisdictions
  • Manage and review quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all reported financial information

2. Statutory Audit Management

  • Lead and front-end the statutory audit process with Big 4 auditors as the primary point of contact.
  • Drive and monitor component audits across multiple group entities and geographies.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders across business units, Shared Service Team, legal, and tax teams to ensure timely information flow and audit closure
  • Proactively identify and resolve audit issues to prevent delays in sign-off

3. Monthly & Quarterly Close

  • Drive monthly and quarterly closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate close of books across all entities
  • Manage closing calendars, track completion of critical deliverables, and escalate blockers proactively
  • Review and validate significant accounting entries, provisions, accruals, and adjustments

4. Technical Accounting & Standards

  • Lead the technical accounting — assess and document treatment for complex transactions under Ind AS / IFRS
  • Stay current with evolving accounting standards and implement applicable changes across the Group.
  • Manage Intangible Asset accounting including internally generated intangibles, acquisition-related intangibles, and impairment assessments

5. Management Reporting & Stakeholder Communication

  • Own and review the quarterly Management Deck covering P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Working Capital analysis for Senior Management and Board review.
  • Respond to financial queries from Management, Investors, Rating Agencies, and Regulators accurately and on time.
  • Support investor relations and FP&A team with financial data, disclosures, and commentary as required.

6. Compliance & Governance Reporting

  • Ensure timely submission of financial information for all statutory and regulatory compliance obligations across jurisdictions
  • Coordinate with Company Secretarial, Legal, and Tax teams for integrated governance reporting
  • Maintain robust documentation and audit trail for all reporting processes.

7. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor the Group Financial Reporting team — set performance objectives, develop capabilities, and build bench strength.
  • Foster a high-accountability, process-oriented culture within the team.

8. Controllership – Small Legal Entities

  • Manage end-to-end controllership responsibilities for select smaller legal entities within the Group.
  • Oversee books of accounts, statutory compliance, and financial reporting for these entities.
  • Ensure alignment of accounting policies and reporting standards across all entities under purview.

9. Key Initiatives to Drive

  • Audit Process Efficiency: Redesign audit readiness processes to significantly reduce time and effort — implement structured PBC lists, pre-audit checklists, and issue tracking frameworks.
  • Audit Timeline Reduction: Drive measurable reduction in quarterly review and year-end audit closure timelines through better upfront preparation and continuous engagement with auditors.
  • Closing & Reporting Automation: Identify and implement automation opportunities in the month-end close and financial reporting cycle, including reconciliation tools, and management reporting dashboards.
