Role Overview
We are seeking a finance manager to own the financial, legal, and regulatory operations of our impact-first investment fund (pending SEBI registration). Working closely with the Partners, this role is responsible for fund compliance, investor servicing, deal execution support, and coordination across Indian and offshore structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage SEBI and statutory filings (periodic, event-based) with external advisors
- Coordinate PPM updates and regulatory compliance, ensuring alignment across India and offshore structures
- Drive investor onboarding (agreements, KYC/AML, side letters)
- Execute capital calls, investor reporting, and disclosures
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders on fund accounting, financial statements, audit processes and compliance certifications.
- Assist in deal execution and closing (documentation, coordination, data rooms)
- Support valuation exercises and portfolio tracking, including financial analysis, forecasting inputs, and coordination with external valuation partners where required
- Coordinate IC, Board, and Advisory Committee processes (
- Maintain fund governance policies (conflicts, risk, code of conduct)
- Manage compliance records and investor grievance processes
- Coordinate with teams and advisors on offshore pooling vehicle operations, LP support, and ongoing compliance requirements (incl. K-1 readiness)
- Manage day-to-day engagement with external service providers, including auditors, legal counsel, tax advisors, custodians, and compliance partners
Qualifications
- CA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent
- 8+ years of experience in fund operations, AIFs, audit, or investment management
- Strong understanding of SEBI AIF regulations; offshore exposure preferred
- High attention to detail, strong ownership, and stakeholder management skills
This is a high-ownership role with end-to-end exposure across fund operations, compliance, and investments.
