About the role:
The Fundraising Director will lead and grow our resource mobilization efforts to ensure the long-term sustainability and scaling of our programs. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, expertise in fundraising, and a deep commitment to education and equity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute a multi-channel fundraising strategy, set annual targets, and represent the organization to key stakeholders and partners.
- Donor Engagement: Cultivate and steward relationships with CSR partners, foundations, individual donors, and HNIs while building a strong pipeline of prospects.
- Proposal & Communication Oversight: Oversee the creation of high-quality grant proposals, pitch decks, and donor reports in collaboration with program and M&E teams.
- Team Management: Build, mentor, and manage a motivated fundraising team with clear goals and accountability structures.
- Systems & Operations: Ensure the effective use of CRM tools to track donor data and establish efficient internal processes for fundraising operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: 1012 years of experience in fundraising, business development, or partnerships, ideally within the development sector or a corporate fundraising background.
- Knowledge: A strong understanding of the funding landscape, including CSR, philanthropic foundations, and individual giving.
- Core Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust, combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Values: A deep belief in the power of equity, inclusion, and holistic education.
