Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly technical and hands-on Associate Director DevOps & IT to drive

efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement of our DevOps practices and IT services.

This role will be pivotal in driving scalability, security, and performance across our cloud

environments and internal systems. You will lead a team of DevOps engineers, IT administrators,

and infrastructure specialists, and play a key role in cross-functional initiatives to optimize

development workflows and ensure business continuity.

Location: Bangalore (Hybrid Work Model, 4-day work from office)

Experience: 18+ years

Education: Bachelor's degree / Master's degree.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and evolve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), observability, and automation strategies.
  • Define and implement DevOps best practices across development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Partner with engineering teams to optimize build and release processes for speed, reliability, and security.
  • Manage Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, availability, and cost efficiency.
  • Define Change & Release Management to improve team capability and deploy work with repeatable success.
  • Take responsibility for the architecture and technical leadership of the entire DevOps infrastructure
  • Oversee the corporate IT strategy including networks, device management, user support, and security.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, including data privacy regulations and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Lead selection, implementation, and support of business-critical IT systems and SaaS tools.
  • Develop and maintain a technology roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve reliability, automation, and team efficiency.
  • Manage vendor relationships and technology budgets.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and collaboration across DevOps and IT.

Required Qualifications:

  • 18+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or IT leadership roles.
  • Hands-on experience in DevOps, IT, or related technical roles.
  • Proven expertise in designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience in PowerShell for automation and process optimization.
  • Strong experience with SVN for source control, including repository management, branching, and merging.
  • Strong experience with modern DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes).
  • Expertise in Azure cloud architecture.
  • Thorough knowledge of developing cross-platform applications - Web, Mobile Web, both. Solid understanding of IT systems, cybersecurity, networking, and endpoint
  • management.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., fintech, healthcare) with compliance requirements.
  • Experience scaling systems and teams in a high-growth environment.
  • High adaptability and ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • High ownership and accountability.
  • Familiarity with static code analysis tools like Veracode (preferred but not mandatory).

Certifications:

  • Preferred Azure Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
  • Other relevant certifications (e.g., Jenkins, ITIL) are a plus.
