Job Description

Overview of the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic technology leader to head critical Corporate IT functions encompassing IT Asset Management, Audit & Compliance, Enterprise Application Support, and IT Administration. This role requires a strong blend of operational leadership, governance expertise, stakeholder management, and transformation capabilities to ensure efficient, secure, and compliant IT operations across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing enterprise-scale IT operations, driving governance initiatives, optimizing technology investments, and leading high-performing teams while partnering closely with business and executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Asset Management & Governance

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle management of IT assets including procurement, deployment, allocation, maintenance, renewal, tracking, and disposal.
  • Establish and drive enterprise-wide IT Asset Management (ITAM) policies, governance frameworks, and operational controls.
  • Ensure optimal utilization and compliance of hardware, software, licenses, cloud subscriptions, and enterprise applications.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventories and ensure audit readiness through effective tracking, reconciliation, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives through asset rationalization, license optimization, contract reviews, and vendor negotiations.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, HR, and Technology teams for effective asset planning and lifecycle governance.
  • Develop asset forecasting, budgeting, and capacity planning strategies aligned with business growth objectives.

2. Audit, Risk & Compliance Management

  • Lead internal, external, customer, and regulatory audits related to IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, applications, and operational processes.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and industry best practices.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve governance frameworks, SOPs, controls, and compliance mechanisms.
  • Drive audit preparedness initiatives and ensure timely closure of audit observations and remediation plans.
  • Partner with Information Security, Legal, HR, and business teams to strengthen the organization's governance and compliance posture.
  • Identify operational and technology risks and implement preventive and corrective actions to mitigate business impact.
  • Establish governance reviews, risk assessments, and compliance reporting mechanisms for leadership visibility.

3. Enterprise Application Support & Administration

  • Own enterprise-wide application support, administration, service delivery, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, performance monitoring, incident management, and issue resolution across business-critical applications.
  • Define, track, and improve application support KPIs, SLAs, and service quality metrics.
  • Oversee user access management, role-based access controls, and application governance processes.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to drive application enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and modernization initiatives.
  • Lead major incident management, problem management, and root-cause analysis to improve application stability and user experience.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, self-service enablement, and process optimization to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure seamless coordination with internal teams and external vendors for support delivery and continuous improvement.

4. Leadership, Strategy & Stakeholder Management

  • Provide strategic leadership across Corporate IT operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and growth plans.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across Asset Management, Compliance, Application Support, and Administration functions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and executive stakeholders on IT governance, operational effectiveness, risk management, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration among business units, technology teams, vendors, and external partners.
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships, contract governance, service reviews, escalations, and performance management.
  • Own departmental budgeting, resource planning, workforce management, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Establish governance forums, operational reviews, and executive dashboards to monitor service performance and key initiatives.
  • Lead organizational change management, process transformation, and continuous improvement programs to enhance operational maturity.
  • Prepare and present executive-level MIS reports, governance updates, risk assessments, business cases, and strategic recommendations.

5. IT Operations and Support:

  • Manage day-to-day IT operations, ensuring optimal performance of internal systems and applications.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal employees, ensuring quick resolution of issues.
  • Implement and manage service desk operations to handle IT support requests in a timely manner.
  • Establish and enforce IT policies and best practices for end-users across the organization.

6. Project Management:

  • Oversee IT-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, finance, legal, etc.) to implement IT solutions that support business processes.
  • Drive the adoption of new technologies and tools to improve internal workflows and productivity.

7. Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers, ensuring the quality and reliability of services and products.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to ensure cost-effective and high-quality solutions.
  • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns promptly.

8. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure minimal disruption to business operations in case of IT outages or disasters.
  • Regularly test and update disaster recovery protocols and ensure employees are trained on emergency procedures.

9. Team Development and Collaboration:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Ensure appropriate training and development opportunities for IT staff to stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Promote collaboration between IT and other departments to understand business needs and provide effective technological solutions.

10. Performance Metrics and Reporting:

  • Establish KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for IT performance and deliver regular reports to senior leadership.
  • Track and analyze system performance, user satisfaction, and operational efficiency, using data to make informed decisions.
  • Regularly report on IT achievements, challenges, and future needs to executive management.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 12–15 years of progressive experience in Corporate IT Operations, IT Asset Management, Audit & Compliance, Application Support, and IT Governance.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks, operational controls, risk management, compliance standards, and service management practices.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise applications, IT infrastructure operations, and support functions within large-scale organizations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in audits, process governance, vendor management, technology operations, and compliance programs.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align IT operations and governance initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Proven leadership experience in building, mentoring, and managing high-performing teams.
  • Experience in IT transformation, automation, and operational excellence initiatives will be highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • MBA or relevant certifications in IT Governance / Compliance / ITIL / Asset Management will be an added advantage.
