Job Description

Role Purpose

The Associate Director CSMC is the internal intelligence and KPI-control function of the Office. The role ensures that sees both campuses, all KPIs and all milestones in real time. This is a dashboard, KPI, data validation and analytical reporting role - not a general coordination or communications role.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the USADP KPI dashboard for both campuses daily and flag any KPI moving toward AMBER or RED to the Deputy CoS within 24 hours.

• Produce the monthly consolidated KPI summary for both campuses by the 3rd of each month.

• Assemble KPI data, milestone status and risk-register updates as the evidence base for Chancellor briefing packs.

• Maintain the live Phase I milestone dashboard on USADP, tracking all 17 milestones against deadlines and verification criteria.

• Compile quantitative data for the DSA&A Annual Report, including SSI results, KPI performance, milestone progress, certification counts and participation rates.

• Support the Annual Framework Review Note with year-on-year KPI trends and identification of the three most improved and three most concerning KPIs.

• Prepare a monthly one-page sector intelligence input from UGC/NAAC/NEP/MoE updates where these affect KPIs, dashboards or governance decisions.

• Coordinate data packs, pre-visit notes and post-visit summaries for benchmarking visits, in coordination with Research/NAAC and Communications roles.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Minimum 5 years institutional, research, MIS, quality assurance, data analytics or strategic- planning support experience, with proven report production and deadline discipline.
  • PhD / Postgraduate degree in Management, Public Policy, Education Administration, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research or equivalent. MBA desirable.
  • Advanced MS Excel: Pivot Tables, Power Query, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, COUNTIFS/SUMIFS, conditional formatting, data cleaning, reconciliation and dashboard- ready summaries. KPI monitoring; RAG status tracking; milestone tracking; data validation; source-data interrogation; trend and variance analysis; exception reporting; monthly analytical summary writing; data-pack preparation for reviews.
  • Power BI / Tableau / Looker Studio; basic data visualization; USADP or institutional dashboard systems; AI tools for structured reporting, summarization and anomaly detection.
  • Must write concise decision notes and evidence packs: risk first, trend second, implication third, action required last. No narrative-heavy prose.
