The Analyst - Business Intelligence & Enablement is part of the American Express Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) Product Team. GMNS Product Teams supports card-issuing and merchant-acquiring business partners that transact on the American Express Global Network.
The mission of the Business Intelligence & Enablement team within GMNS Product is to enable data-driven decision-making by delivering real-time visibility, scalable reporting architecture, strong governance frameworks, and in-house automation-led process transformation through efficiency gains. The team also plays a key role in strengthening regulatory reporting controls, data integrity, and audit readiness across reporting assets.
This role is responsible for building robust managerial dashboards, developing analytical models, and driving in-house automation using Microsoft Power Platform solutions. In addition to enhancing operational transparency and business performance, the position ensures that reporting outputs align with internal control standards, regulatory expectations, and compliance requirements, reinforcing a strong risk and governance mindset across GMNS Product.
Responsibilities of this position include the following:
Qualifications:
o Power BI (report development, publishing, workspace management)
o Power Query (data transformation)
o DAX formulas (advanced calculations and performance tuning)
o Data modelling concepts and best practices
o SQL querying and data validation
o Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform including Power Apps and Power Automate.
