We are seeking a creative and system-oriented Interior Designer/Architect to bridge the gap between high-end workplace design and technical execution. While your primary lens is design standards and excellence, you will also be a member of the Design Technology team, helping to codify our design language into repeatable Revit-based standards. Unlike a traditional BIM manager, your priority is ensuring our Design and Build projects reflect the Awfis aesthetic while utilizing smart, automated BIM workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Standard Development: Translate design concepts (finishes, furniture, and spatial typologies) into standardized Revit libraries and templates.
- Workflow Optimization: Collaborate with the Design Tech Lead to refine documentation phases from Concept to GFC (Good for Construction), ensuring design intent is never lost in technical translation.
- Library Curation: Work closely with the BIM team to curate a Design-First Revit Family Library, ensuring families are both visually accurate for presentations and data-rich for execution.
- Inter-departmental Liaison: Serve as the primary link between the creative designers and the technical BIM infrastructure team.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct design audits on project models to ensure spatial standards and material specifications are being applied correctly.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Design Pedigree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional experience, specifically within workplace/office design or commercial interiors.
- Revit Proficiency: High level of comfort in Autodesk Revit. You should understand how to build and organize models even if your primary focus is design.
- Systems Thinking: An ability to look at a bespoke design and identify how to turn it into a standard component or workflow.
- Communication: Strong ability to explain design logic to technical teams and technical constraints to creative teams.
