About the Role
We are looking for a driven and analytical Associate – Debt Advisory to join our team in Delhi. The role involves working with clients on their debt financing requirements and managing transactions across debt syndication, project finance advisory, refinancing, financial appraisal, project appraisal, and due diligence.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with loan products such as working capital, term loans, project finance, home loans, personal loans, Loan Against Property (LAP), promoter funding, or related financing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new clients and business opportunities for debt advisory and debt syndication.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, banks, NBFCs, and other financial institutions.
- Understand client funding requirements and identify suitable debt financing solutions.
- Conduct financial and credit analysis, including financial statement analysis and project appraisals.
- Prepare and review financial models to assess risks and support deal structuring.
- Prepare credit appraisal notes, Information Memorandums (IMs), and other documents required by lenders.
- Manage transactions from initial proposal and due diligence through credit approval, documentation, and final loan disbursement.
- Assist in executing debt syndication, project finance advisory, refinancing, financial appraisal, project appraisal, and due diligence mandates.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including legal counsel, valuers, lenders, and other agencies.
- Support negotiations and ensure smooth execution and closure of transactions.
- Manage multiple assignments and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Requirements
- 2–6 years of relevant experience in banks, NBFCs, financial services, investment banking, debt advisory, or related domains.
- Hands-on knowledge of corporate credit, project finance, lending products, and financial markets.
- Experience with loan products such as term loans, working capital, project finance, LAP, home loans, personal loans, or promoter funding.
- Strong financial analysis and credit appraisal skills.
- Ability to understand financial statements and build/use financial models.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client-management skills.
- Strong negotiation and deal-making capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
