Role Summary
You'll help build reliable data pipelines and GenAI-powered features that turn structured and unstructured data into high-quality datasets and useful product experiences. This role is hands-on: you'll ship production-ready components with good testing, observability, and documentation.
What You'll Do
Data Engineering
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines (batch and basic streaming where needed).
- Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold): ingest, clean, standardize, curate.
- Write strong SQL for transformations, data quality checks, and analytics-ready outputs.
- Improve reliability: validation, monitoring, lineage, incident follow-ups.
GenAI Engineering
- Support RAG systems: document ingestion, chunking, embedding, indexing, retrieval, generation.
- Work with vector search concepts: embeddings, similarity search, filtering, hybrid retrieval basics.
- Apply prompt engineering practices: templates, grounding, structured outputs (JSON), guardrails.
- Help evaluate output quality: retrieval relevance, hallucination reduction, latency and cost awareness.
Must Have
- Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering/Data or equivalent projects.
- Strong Python fundamentals and clean coding habits.
- Solid SQL (joins, window functions, aggregations).
- Understanding of data fundamentals: incremental loads, idempotency, schema basics, orchestration concepts.
- Awareness of Medallion architecture and why it's used.
- Basic familiarity with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and prompt engineering.
Nice to Have
- Databricks/Spark/Delta Lake exposure.
- Vector DB/search exposure
- Basic API and MCP development (FastAPI/FastMCP) and CI/CD experience.
Tech Stack
Python, SQL, Spark/Databricks, Delta/Parquet Lakehouse, orchestration tools, LLM APIs, vector search, Git, CI/CD, monitoring/logging.

- Built a medallion pipeline end-to-end with quality checks and documentation.
- Built a RAG demo with citations, chunking strategy, and retrieval evaluation.
- Compared retrieval methods (chunk size/overlap, hybrid search, filtering) with a simple eval harness.
