Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding ocean freight shipments.
  • Provide timely updates on shipment status, address queries, and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service delivery.
  • Coordinate with customers to understand their shipping requirements and offer tailored solutions.
  • Handle end-to-end operational activities for ocean freight shipments, including booking, documentation, and coordination with carriers, customs, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, customs clearance, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, last-mile delivery, etc.) to ensure seamless execution.
  • Identify areas for process improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Implement best practices in ocean freight operations and client servicing.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documents such as bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, customer communications, and operational data.
  • Generate reports on key operational metrics, shipment statuses, and customer feedback.
  • Handle escalations related to shipment issues and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve them promptly.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to prevent recurring operational issues.
