About the Role

The Associate - Corporate Secretariat role within the Legal Department is designed to support the legal and secretarial functions of the bank. This includes specialized areas such as Contract Management, Product Compliance, Dispute Resolution, Litigation Management, and Corporate Secretarial activities. The role also involves contributing to strategy development and implementing best practices in legal risk mitigation, corporate secretarial operations, and policy formulation. This position interacts with various internal and external stakeholders and plays a key role in achieving the broader organizational objectives of the bank.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support to senior leadership on all legal matters affecting departmental transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and legal standards and uphold corporate governance practices.
  • Assist in meeting legal obligations during corporate actions such as fundraising, preferential allotments, QIPs, mergers, and listings.
  • Ensure legal soundness of new or customized product offerings and compliance with SEBI regulations.
  • Support the Company Secretary in timely and accurate reporting of bank procedures and developments.
  • Assist the Legal & Secretarial team during Board and Committee meetings.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Recommend process and policy improvements across banking operations to enhance efficiency and customer service quality.
  • Stay updated with global legal trends and competitor strategies in key markets.

What We Are Looking For

Education

  • Graduation: Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).
  • Post Graduation MBA/PGDM
  • Professional degree CS

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong understanding of legal and corporate secretarial practices.
  • Ability to manage legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinking and attention to detail.
