Job Description
Overview:
Allen & Gledhill is one of Singapore's largest and leading law firms, with a strong presence in Southeast Asia. The Corporate Real Estate team is consistently recognised as a top-tier corporate real estate practice and market leader, having acted on an extensive range of notable real estate transactions. We are looking for a Singapore qualified lawyer who has an interest or background in corporate real estate to join our multidisciplinary team.
About the Role:
You will work alongside experienced lawyers, and, together with our associate firm in Malaysia, regional office in Myanmar, alliance in Indonesia, and network of top-tier law firms across Asia, we have the broad capability to act as transaction counsel, leading, structuring, and overseeing our clients real estate transactions throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review and negotiate real estate and development documentation, including sale and purchase agreements, leases, project and management agreements
- Assist with real estate transactions, including direct and indirect acquisitions and divestments, from due diligence and transaction structuring through to documentation and completion
- Conduct legal due diligence and assist in identifying and assessing legal and commercial risks arising from property acquisitions, developments and investments.
- Assist in advising on and negotiating commercial leasing matters
- Support joint venture and investment structures for mixed-use and other large-scale real estate projects, including the preparation and review of joint venture and related transaction documents.
- Assist with regulatory advice, including matters relating to land use, development approvals and other regulatory requirements applicable to commercial, industrial, logistics and residential developments.
Requirements:
- Singapore-qualified lawyer (1–3 PQE preferred)
- Prior experience in corporate real estate is an advantage
- Good drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to learning and teamwork
- Comfortable managing multiple matters and working under timelines
