About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Educational Qualification: M.Sc. Zoology or related life science streams.
- Fresher or experience of content analysis/ content editing in a science-related field or in related publication domain.
- Freshers preferred only if done Masters in Zoology
- Knowledge on animal classification, systematic taxonomy & Nomenclature will be added advantage.
- Knowledge in performing end of production cycle completeness, and accuracy tasks as assigned.
- Good scientific research and analytical skills, with attention to detail
- General computer proficiency (MS Office) and ability to quickly learn new software tools
- Good oral and written communication skills, with excellent command of English
- A good team player with the ability to work independently
- Ability to set priorities and be flexible in a changing environment
- Effective time management
- Self-motivated with the ability to deliver consistently
It would be great if you also had . . .
- A PhD or postgraduate background in zoology would be beneficial.
What will you be doing in this role
- Apply zoology, systematic taxonomy, ICZN Nomenclature, microbiology, genetics and molecular biology concepts to curate animal and its biological related data from research articles in line with editorial policies
- Achieve weekly production volumes and consistently meet quality targets
- Take active role within the team to ensure targets are met
- Maintain a flexible and adaptable approach towards process change
- Take initiative by raising, discussing, and resolving subject matter and production issues
- Maintain and develop scientific knowledge and skills training as required to complete work and stay current on scientific trends and developments related to your editorial responsibilities
