Profile - Associate Consultant - VM L1
Roles and Responsibilities
The primary role of a VM Analyst (L1) is perform vulnerability, tracking, and remediation activities within client environments. Will be required assist senior team members in guiding technical audiences on remediation options. Candidate should continue to analyze vulnerability results from scanning tools (preferably Qualys) and develop remediation plans, with recommendations. Candidate should be able to manage and track progress of vulnerability remediation efforts against set remediation target dates, confirming resolution. Also able to provide periodic updates on current progress and challenges of vulnerability remediation activities, and identify, recommend resolutions for reoccurring/ systemic issues
Note : Candidate must be willing to Work from Office only (Bangalore Location) & willing to do 24x7 rotational shift (Mandatory requirement for this role)
Work experience
Minimum 3-5 years of recent experience running threat or vulnerability management programs
Perform vulnerability patching, tracking, and remediation activities within client environments.
Work with internal and client teams to review vulnerability reports and prioritize remediations based on criticality ratings.
Assist senior team members in guiding technical audiences on remediation options
Work with vulnerability remediation stakeholder groups to address potential delayed visibility into systems through data
analyses of combination scanning tools and scan types to cover system permutations
Continue to analyze vulnerability results from scanning tools and develop remediation plans, with recommended
prioritization, provide recommended reprioritization of current backlog where needed
Drive effectiveness of patch and vulnerability execution with application and platform teams
Develop data analysis approaches for vulnerability remediation prioritization and grouping (e.g. using scores and other data attributes to address groups of vulnerable items)
Work with application/system owners to manage patch deployments and vulnerability remediation
Manage and track progress of vulnerability remediation efforts against set remediation target dates, confirming resolution
Provide periodic updates on current progress and challenges of vulnerability remediation activities, and identify, recommend resolutions for reoccurring/ systemic issues
Educational qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent industry experience
Experience working with vulnerability management applications such as: applications
Experience with development of vulnerability management programs and understanding how to prioritize the remediation of vulnerabilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a team setting or independently in a fast-paced environment
