Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL.
- Write, execute, and troubleshoot JCL jobs for batch processing.
- Work with VSAM datasets for data storage and access management.
- Develop and support DB2 database programs and queries.
- Analyze, debug, and resolve production issues in mainframe applications.
- Perform code enhancements, testing, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with teams to support application delivery and maintenance activities.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow development standards.
Skills Required:
- Strong experience in Mainframe development using COBOL.
- Good knowledge of JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
- Experience supporting batch processing and mainframe applications.
- Understanding of IBM z/OS environments and mainframe operations.
- Familiarity with debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Exposure to COBOL/400 is an added advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred.
