About the Role
This role sits within the Commercial Function of GTC business unit of AtkinsRalis, offering diverse services to its clients. We require a driven and experienced candidate with a strong background in Engineering contracts management.
As our GTC Commercial function continues to grow, we are seeking an Associate Commercial lead to join our Mumbai team with a focus towards UK&I Transportation contract management. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in a wide variety of commercial disciplines including contract reviews, contract advice, cross border delivery, governance, claims management.
About the Team
Joining the current commercial team, the successful applicant will support the team with a wide range of commercial tasks from reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of complex agreements with both clients and suppliers. You will also be responsible for leading the commercial governance process for bids that fall within your remit and hold the wider division to account aligned to AtkinsRalis approvals framework.
The Candidature
Qualifications
Degree qualified in Engineering
PG in Construction management/Project management/Business law
Degree or certification course in Law (Not mandatory-added advantage)
Mandatory Experience
9-13 years of experience
Understanding of commercial and Contracting principles
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
Solutions focused approach to ensure quick and positive outcomes during tendering events or contract discussions.
proven experience of delivering contract reviews, drafting and negotiation
Bidding (Knowledge & experience in the win work cycle)
Contract lifecycle Management/Contract Administration
Supply chain contracts management
Understanding of Engineering Contracts like FIDIC,JCT and NEC suits
Desirable Experience
In addition to the mandatory requirements, we are also seeking candidates with the following skills and experience:
Experience in the Infrastructure/ Construction/ Heavy Industry Sector(s)/ Nuclear, Power and Energy sector
Project delivery and Project Management- basics
Collaboration with Global teams will be an advantage but is not mandatory
Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
Ability to work autonomously or as part of a bigger team.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including consultancy agreements, framework agreements, memorandums of understanding and NDAs.
Assis the Divisional Commercial Manager with commercial processes and governance activities throughout the project life cycle.
Assist the Commercial team with day-to-day tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Help review Contracts/Frameworks/Call off /task order opportunities under guidance from senior team members.
Support the preparation and documentation of contract and project reviews in line with business standards.
Provide support on active contract management and contract administration working closely with the project team where required.
Participate in initiatives to improve commercial awareness and performance within the business.
Develop and deliver trainings and knowledge sharing sessions
