The Wedding Company is a tech-enabled wedding planning platform helping couples design, plan, and execute their dream weddings with ease and confidence. From venues to décor, photography to entertainment, makeup to mehendi – we bring everything under one roof, backed by a curated network of 2,000+ trusted vendors across cities.
Executing weddings across geographies, budget brackets, and unique client preferences requires exceptional digital and offline capabilities. Weddings are a single-take service — there are no second chances — and come with a unique set of operational challenges.
In just 18 months, we have:
- Curated a network of 2,000+ vetted vendors across 8+ destinations (India & Thailand)
- Planned & executed 400+ weddings worth 120+ crore in total service value
- Become operationally profitable (as of Oct 2024) while serving weddings in the 10 lakh–5 crore range
- Raised 8 crore ($1M) in pre-seed funding from marquee investors including LVX, Tremis Capital, and Dropbox Co-founder Arash Ferdowsi

What You'll Do
This is an operations-heavy, relationship-driven role that blends category building, problem solving, and business ownership. No two days will be the same — you will be responsible for building and growing your assigned category from the ground up.
1. Category Building & Vendor Onboarding
- Own the end-to-end vendor acquisition funnel — from identifying and approaching potential vendors, to onboarding and positioning TWC's value proposition.
- Communicate commercial terms, build trust in the TWC model, and onboard the best vendors pan-India.
- Ensure vendors understand platform benefits, service expectations, and the value of long-term collaboration.
- Primary focus: Securing the right vendors — as they directly impact execution quality and customer satisfaction.
2. Problem Solving & Stakeholder Management
- Solve operational challenges across vendor, customer, and project levels, with ticket sizes from 10,000 to 10 lakh+.
- Create tailored solutions that ensure a win–win outcome for customers and vendors.
- Act as the escalation point for category related issues, resolving them swiftly and effectively.
- Drive category-level improvements in:
- Service standardization
- Pricing & commercial innovations
- Customer-facing and vendor-facing process modules
- Safeguarding interests on both sides
3. Project Closures & Funnel Management
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of service bookings.
- Drive conversions through every stage of the wedding planning journey.
- Maintain margin protection, cash flow discipline, and category health.
4. Vendor Growth & NPS
- Own Vendor NPS for your category and implement initiatives to keep vendors engaged.
- Help vendors grow their business 20–30% annually through better visibility, strategic guidance, and TWC-led opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- 3-4 years of category management or operations experienc
- High problem-solving ability with strong bias for action & ownership
- Ability to think from first principles and innovate on processes
- Strong on data analysis and insight generation
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfort managing high-value, custom projects
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
