Job Description

Role Overview

  • As an Associate BDE & Sales at BrandStory, you will be a key contributor to revenue growth and the expansion of our client portfolio
  • Your primary mandate is to identify, qualify, and acquire new clients, while also nurturing relationships for long-term business opportunities
  • You will be expected to have a comprehensive understanding of BrandStory's services, including Digital Marketing, Branding, Technology, Employer Branding, PR, and Content Solutions
  • The role demands the ability to translate client challenges into customized solutions, building persuasive value propositions
  • You will serve as a brand ambassador, representing BrandStory in pitches, networking events, and industry forums
  • Collaboration is core: you'll work with marketing (for lead generation), pre-sales (for solutioning), and delivery teams (for execution alignment)
  • Success will be measured not just by meeting sales quotas, but also by building trusted client relationships that enable cross-sell and upsell opportunities
  • This is a growth-track role that positions you to advance into Senior Associate, Team Lead, or Key Account Management pathways within BrandStory

A Day-in-the-Life (Snapshot)

  • Morning: Review your CRM dashboard, prioritize leads, and plan outreach activities
  • Midday: Conduct discovery calls or meetings with prospective clients to understand their business needs
  • Afternoon: Collaborate with pre-sales to create tailored proposals and coordinate with marketing for lead-generation campaigns
  • Evening: Follow up on open opportunities, update CRM records, and share pipeline progress with your manager
  • Weekly Rhythm
  • Attend internal sales huddles and pipeline review meetings
  • Prepare and deliver client pitches
  • Share competitor and market intelligence with leadership
  • Nurture prospects via LinkedIn/social selling

Key Responsibilities

1 . Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Identify and qualify prospects through digital platforms, events, referrals, and outbound campaigns
  • Conduct market research to uncover new business opportunities and emerging sectors
  • Develop and deliver compelling pitches aligned with client objectives

2. Sales & Pipeline Management

  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation proposal negotiation closures
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline with accurate reporting on CRM
  • Consistently achieve or exceed revenue and client acquisition targets

3.Client Relationship Management

  • Build rapport with decision-makers to establish BrandStory as a trusted advisor
  • Ensure smooth handover of closed deals to delivery teams
  • Maintain long-term engagement for repeat business and upsell opportunities

4. Collaboration & Reporting

  • Align with marketing for campaign-driven lead generation
  • Work with pre-sales for customized solution designs
  • Submit weekly sales reports, forecasts, and insights on market trends

KPIs & Success

  • MetricsQuarterly and annual sales quota achievement
  • New client acquisition (number of new logos onboarded)
  • Pipeline health: qualified opportunities and conversion rates
  • Proposal-to-closure ratio
  • CRM data accuracy and hygiene

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong B2B sales experience, preferably in digital marketing, branding, or technology services
  • Excellent prospecting, networking, and lead qualification skills
  • Ability to build compelling proposals and presentations
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Hands-on with CRMs (Monday / Zoho etc)
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with resilience and result orientation

Pre - Requisites

  • Must have knowledge of BrandStory's service offerings:
  • Digital Marketing (SEO, Social Media, Performance Marketing, Influencer Marketing,ABM,PR)
  • Branding (Brand Strategy, Employer Branding, Design Collateral, GTM Campaigns)
  • Technology (Website Development, UI/UX, Website Maintenance, Video Production & Content Services)
  • Bonus: Prior agency experience with multi-service solutiion selling
  • Proven success in consultative B2B selling

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 35 years of proven success in business development or B2B sales
