Associate Architect - Platform Engineering

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise cloud and platform architecture strategy, target-state platform designs, landing zones, and operating models covering GCP(Preferred), Azure(Preferred), or AWS ecosystems.
• Architect scalable infrastructure for AI, Generative AI, and specialized data workloads, including GPU compute clusters, model serving platforms, vector stores, graph databases, and AI gateway patterns.
• Establish enterprise security architecture and infrastructure governance standards covering zero-trust networking, IAM federation, secrets management, compliance guardrails, and automated policy enforcement.
• Drive reliability engineering and production readiness across platform infrastructure, defining standards for high availability, disaster recovery, observability, distributed tracing, and SRE operational practices.
• Lead infrastructure automation, GitOps deployment models, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategy using Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and internal developer platforms.
• Master Kubernetes cluster architecture (GKE/AKS/EKS), service mesh integrations, and event-driven workload orchestration for microservices and AI inference jobs.
• Partner with executive stakeholders, technical leads, and engineering teams to conduct architecture reviews, guide technical design, and align platform strategy with long-term business goals.

Must-Have Skills

• Cloud Platform Architecture - Extensive experience architecting enterprise multi-cloud landing zones, cloud-native services, and platform infrastructure across GCP, Azure
• Infrastructure Strategy & Governance - Proven capability in defining platform operating models, modernization roadmaps, policy-as-code guardrails, and architecture review governance.
• Security Architecture - Deep knowledge of enterprise IAM federation, zero-trust network boundaries, encryption, secrets management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
• Reliability Engineering - Expertise in SRE principles, HA/DR design, SLA compliance, distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry), and centralized observability frameworks.
• Infrastructure Automation Strategy - Advanced proficiency with Terraform, automated CI/CD pipeline architecture, GitOps workflows (ArgoCD/Flux), and self-service internal developer platforms.
• Kubernetes Mastery - Hands-on mastery architecting and operating production Kubernetes clusters (GKE/AKS/EKS), container orchestration, ingress, and service mesh architectures.
• Executive & Technical Leadership - Demonstrated ability to drive technical vision, guide engineering teams, interface with senior leadership, and make high-impact platform decisions.
