Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle Database software and related products (11g/12c/19c or later).
- Administer, monitor, and maintain production and non-production Oracle databases.
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
- Implement database backup and recovery strategies using RMAN/Data Guard.
- Manage database security, user access controls, roles, and privileges.
- Monitor database health, availability, and performance using tools like OEM, AWR, ASH, and ADDM.
- Perform database patching, upgrades, and migration (on-premises and cloud platforms).
- Support application development teams by optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and schema design.
- Maintain disaster recovery (DR) setups, including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate replication.
- Document database configurations, standards, and procedures.
- Provide on-call support and respond to critical incidents.
Required Skills & Qualifications58 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in large enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in Oracle Database architecture, RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and diagnostic tools.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL programming skills.
- Proven experience in database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Solid knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions (RMAN, Flashback, Data Guard).
- Experience with database migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS RDS, or Azure Database services is a plus.
- Good understanding of ITIL practices for incident, change, and problem management.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
