As a Client Account Manager, Alternatives within our Asset Management Client Service Organization, you will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class client experience across onboarding, day-to-day servicing, and offboarding for alternatives investors.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end client servicing lifecycle (onboarding, ongoing support, and offboarding) for alternatives clients.
- Field inquiries from Bankers, Client Advisors, HNW investors, and internal stakeholders on alternatives offerings.
- Resolve escalated client issues by coordinating with bankers, product partners, operations, and other stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact, providing timely updates on account status and service requests.
- Monitor client accounts for adherence to investment guidelines, firm policies, KYC requirements, and tax refreshes.
- Implement a tracking framework to log, monitor, and close client queries within defined service timelines.
- Develop and maintain SOPs and manuals for client servicing and onboarding across alternative strategies.
- Enforce escalation protocols for complex or unresolved queries to ensure timely expert and leadership engagement.
- Validate scalable operating-model solutions by supporting idea development and reviewing plans pre-implementation.
- Drive client experience enhancements through automation, process refinement, and improved response times.
- Organize knowledge-sharing sessions and maintain an internal resource library on alternatives products and best practices.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Graduate /Post graduate with at least 7 years of Asset/Wealth Management experience in Investor Relations/Client Services with alternatives exposure (e.g., registered/private funds).
- Communicate financial concepts clearly and confidently with clients and stakeholders.
- Build strong client and internal partnerships with a deep understanding of servicing needs.
- Collaborate effectively across global teams with cultural awareness and adaptability.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, follow-through, flexibility, and excellent communication skills.
- Apply critical thinking to analyze, synthesize, and interpret data to inform actions and decisions.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Have experience working with fund administrators and/or transfer agents.
- Leverage automation tools (e.g., Alteryx) and programming (e.g., Python) to streamline workflows and reporting.
