Role Description:

As an Associate on our team, you will have the chance to work in our Risk and Accounting Advisory team where you will support audit and advisory projects across technical accounting, financial reporting, and ITGC/business risk areas. You will collaborate closely with senior consultants, managers, and client stakeholders to address complex accounting/IT security and financial reporting challenges. This role offers an opportunity to develop expertise in risk management, technical accounting, regulatory compliance, and operational finance while contributing to impactful client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in executing accounting and risk advisory and IT risk/security engagements, including technical accounting assessments, financial reporting, SOX testing, IT General Controls (ITGC) testing, implementation of new accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP), etc.
• Collaborate with client management to understand their operations, financial processes, IT system landscape, and business objectives.
• Conduct research on accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging industry trends to provide informed recommendations.
• Support the preparation of high-quality client deliverables—reports, presentations, and work papers—ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Assist in resolving complex accounting issues, such as revenue recognition and lease accounting.
• Identify opportunities to enhance financial operations and controls by leveraging technology and best practices.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet project goals and contribute to knowledge sharing and process improvement.
• Participate in training programs to develop technical knowledge and consulting capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems (B.Tech.) or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in accounting, risk, audit, or financial consulting roles; Big 4 or similar professional services firm experience is a plus.
• Currently pursuing or demonstrating a strong desire to pursue professional certification in Accounting (CA/CPA/ACCA/CIA/CISA) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office.
