Role Overview:

The Associate Account Executive is a hybrid role designed as a development path into full Account Executive / Sales Executive responsibilities. You will combine inside sales activity with hands-on order processing, deal follow-up, and day-to-day client service support for a book of accounts managed alongside one or more Senior Account Executives.

You will act as a trusted point of contact for clients on order status, service requests, and account questions — much like a Client Service Manager — while also generating and qualifying new opportunities and supporting the Senior Account Executive team through the full sales cycle. You will be expected to attend on-site client meetings, build genuine relationships with client contacts, and represent IPC professionally in front of both prospects and existing clients.

This role is based in [New York City, London, Singapore, Hong Kong] working in the local Time Zone, with a hybrid schedule that includes regular in-office days and periodic on-site client visits. You will primarily engage with clients in [North America, ENEA, APAC] but may support meetings and collaboration across the broader global team as needed.

This is a growth-track position. With demonstrated performance, the expectation is that an Associate Account Executive will progress to a Sales Executive role within approximately 2–3 years, at which point they will manage their own account stack with full ownership of revenue and client relationships.

How You Will Make an Impact:

You will support revenue growth and client retention by combining prospecting, order and deal support, and proactive client service, building the foundation and track record needed to take on a full account stack.

Inside Sales & Pipeline Support

  • Identify and qualify prospects via outbound calling, email campaigns, research, and networking to build a pipeline of qualified leads
  • Support Senior Account Executives on discovery calls, product demonstrations, and presentations, articulating the value of IPC's products and solutions
  • Contribute to pipeline development and quota attainment through booked meetings, qualified opportunities, and supported deal closures

Order Processing & Deal Follow-Up

  • Process new orders, upgrades, and service change requests accurately and on time, coordinating with Sales Operations, Legal, and Provisioning
  • Track deals from verbal agreement through signed contract and billing activation, following up proactively to remove roadblocks
  • Maintain meticulous records of orders, client interactions, and deal status within Salesforce.com, providing accurate activity and pipeline reporting

Client Relationship & Service Support

  • Serve as a responsive day-to-day point of contact for an assigned set of clients on order status, billing questions, and service requests
  • Attend on-site client meetings alongside Senior Account Executives, building direct relationships with client contacts and stakeholders
  • Actively listen to client feedback, address concerns, and escalate or coordinate with Customer Outcomes and support teams as needed
  • Partner with Customer Outcomes to ensure a seamless client experience from initial contact through onboarding and ongoing service

Essential Skills and Experience to be Successful in this Role:

  • 1-2 years prior experience in sales, sales support, client service, or account coordination, preferably within financial services, or telecommunications
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders, deals, and client requests simultaneously and follow through to closure
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to represent IPC in client meetings and build trust with client contacts
  • A customer-centric mindset with the ability to understand client needs and coordinate the right internal resources to meet them
  • Self-motivated and coachable, with a clear desire to grow into a full Sales Executive / Account Executive role

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field (preferred, not required)
  • Understanding of telecommunications and managed connectivity services (e.g., network services, extranet/WAN connectivity)
  • Familiarity with financial capital markets structure, including the distinction between buy-side, sell-side, and trading venues/exchanges
  • Operational knowledge of Salesforce.com or similar CRM and sales productivity tools
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and Operations

Compensation & Growth:

This role offers a competitive base salary paired with a performance-based incentive plan built around the dual nature of the role — the pipeline you help generate and the client relationships you help grow.

  • Competitive base salary plus an incentive plan that rewards pipeline generation, booked meetings, and deals you help source
  • An additional incentive tied to the success of the accounts you support — so your contributions to client retention, renewals, and account growth are recognized and rewarded
  • As you progress into the Sales Executive role, compensation transitions to a full individual incentive plan tied to your own account stack
