Summary
- Experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer with at least 10+ years of experience to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with AWS, VMWare / Nutanix, VM Migration, Redhat Linux, Networking, Storage, and Containerization. In this role, you will work in close collaboration with Architecture, Security and Operations teams to implement new solutions, ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of infrastructure.
About the Role
Major Accountabilities:
- Represent IES team to the business or other IT teams receiving the services, ensuring that expectations for IT services are met.
- Identify and qualify new demand with overall responsibility for steering proposals through the early phases of approval and participate in budget estimation.
- Ensure the introduction of new / modified services happens in a planned, controlled, and timely manner to minimize disruption and maximize benefit.
- Create the detailed infrastructure solution/service design, based on functional specifications, to meet quality and performance requirements and technical constraints.
- Coordinate with offshore team, service lines and business for timely delivery of solutions.
Technical / Functional Skills & Knowledge
- 15+ years and above experience in the areas of IT, with 8 years of experience in infrastructure design in public cloud as well as on-prem.
- Experience in leading and representing IT Infrastructure team to deliver on-prem and AWS and Azure Cloud solutions.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with various AWS services, including CloudFormation, Config, CloudWatch, Route53, VPC, RAM, IAM, EC2, EKS, ECS, API Gateway, Lambda, and other serverless services.
- Experience in Azure services like App Service, OpenAI, API Gateway, Service Bus, Event Hub, Logic Apps, Functions and SQL Database.
- Experience with VMWare / Nutanix, VM Migration, Redhat Linux, Networking, Storage, data center migration and consolidation, containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes etc.
- Experience on migration of VMs using P2V (physical to virtual) and V2V (virtual to virtual).
- Responsible for influencing the design of complex infrastructure for applications hosting in On-Prem or Cloud focusing on automated operations.
- Strong knowledge in infrastructure and network and should be able to find faults in the cloud solutions and lead troubleshooting calls with application teams.
- Design and implement data center migration and consolidation projects involving M&A.
- Exposure in various database technologies and database / data migration strategies.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree (CS, CE, CIS, IS, MIS, or engineering discipline) or equivalent.
