We are presenting an outstanding opportunity to join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Business Systems Analyst! In this role, you will play a crucial part in analyzing business and user needs, documenting requirements, and crafting functional specifications for systems and reports. Yourexpertisewill help us precisely define systems scope andobjectivesthrough detailed research and understanding of business systems and industry requirements.
Education/Experience:
Requires a 4-year degree in Computer Science or a related area.
2-4 years of experience in a software development environment, with at least 2 years directly involved in requirement gathering.
Major Job Responsibilities:
Gather and write requirements and design specifications for large or moderately complex systems.
Analyze issues with requirements and design.
Define interaction of data with other systems/databases at ThermoFisher or client companies.
Collaborate with developers, QA testers, validation team members, and managers to build and analyze various project documentation.
Provide mentorship to associate level Business System Analyst staff.
Stay updated with the latest developments in related technologies and share knowledge with team members.
Trainonnew technologiesand tools related to job duties.
Work on problems of moderate scope, applying company policies and procedures to resolve various issues.
Build productive internal and external working relationships.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Good understanding of the system development life cycle and requirementsmethodology.
Proficiencyin requirement gathering methodologies such as waterfall, Agile, Spiral, JAD sessions, and standard methodologies.
Ability to write use cases and specifications for moderately complex systems.
Good MS Office skills.
Excellent business skills, including documentation, presentation, interpersonal, and communication.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
Intermediate interaction with relational databases.

Ability to collaborate with end-users to build test scenarios.
Assess situations toidentifycauses,gatherand process relevant information, and generatepossible solutions.
