Role Description The Assistant Writer & Manuscript Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhopal. The role involves supporting the development of books, research monographs, and teaching materials grounded in Vedic philosophy, mantra science, and consciousness studies. Day-to-day tasks include drafting chapters and essays, refining conceptual outlines, structuring manuscripts, and assisting in translating complex Indic philosophical ideas into clear, accessible English. The role also requires literature review, source verification from classical texts and contemporary research, and close collaboration with senior scholars to incorporate feedback and maintain doctrinal accuracy. The Assistant Writer will help prepare content for publication, including formatting, citation management, copyediting, and coordinating with designers or publishers as needed, while maintaining confidentiality and scholarly integrity.
Qualifications
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English, with the ability to present complex spiritual and philosophical concepts clearly and coherently.
- Background or demonstrable interest in Vedic studies, Indian philosophy, Sanskrit texts, or comparative religion; familiarity with mantra science and Indic spiritual traditions is an advantage.
- Research skills, including literature review, source evaluation, and basic citation practices for both classical and modern academic materials.
- Ability to work closely with senior scholars, incorporate detailed feedback, and manage multiple manuscript sections or projects in parallel.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Humanities, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Sanskrit, Indology, or related field, or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a focused, on-site research and writing environment in Bhopal.
