Job Overview
The Warehouse Assistant Manager at Buildout Retail Private Limited is responsible for supervising day-to-day warehouse operations, managing warehouse staff, and ensuring accurate inventory handling while supporting outbound logistics activities.
This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational efficiency, safety standards, and quality compliance within the warehouse.
The position requires close coordination with B2B and B2C operations teams, including inbound, outbound, and line-feeding teams, to ensure smooth material flow and timely dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide warehouse associates in daily operational activities.
- Ensure proper receiving, booking, storage, picking, and dispatch of materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock control.
- Coordinate with outbound logistics and transportation teams to ensure timely dispatch.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.
- Monitor warehouse housekeeping, organization, and discipline.
- Prepare operational reports and support internal and external audits.
- Ensure proper handling and usage of material handling equipment.
- Coordinate with the production team for production planning and execution.
- Ensure smooth line feeding of Raw Material (RM) and Packaging Material (PM) to support production schedules.
- Monitor the conversion process of RM + PM into Finished Goods (FG) and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Maintain proper tracking of material consumption and finished goods inventory.
- Support production teams in maintaining efficient workflow and minimal downtime due to material shortages.
Required Competencies / Skills
- Experience in warehouse management and store operations.
- Strong team management and leadership skills.
- Good knowledge of inventory control and warehouse processes.
- Hands-on experience with ERP / WMS systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Experience in handling 3PL logistics partners.
- Knowledge of licensed warehouse operations and compliance requirements.
