Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic finance leader for the role of Assistant Vice President (AVP) to lead core Finance & Accounting (F&A) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) functions for US-based operations. The role requires strong expertise in US GAAP, financial controllership, business finance, strategic planning, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end F&A operations including General Ledger, Record-to-Report (R2R), month-end/year-end close, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
  • Drive FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial modeling, variance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.
  • Partner with business leaders and senior management to provide strategic financial insights and support key business decisions.
  • Analyze financial performance, KPIs, revenue trends, margins, and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Lead monthly business reviews and present financial insights to leadership teams and clients.
  • Manage audit support, compliance requirements, Sox controls, and governance processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvement, automation, and transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Build, lead, and mentor high-performing finance teams while driving a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Tax, Treasury, Operations, and Corporate Finance teams across global locations.
  • Manage client relationships, leadership communications, and executive-level reporting.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in Finance & Accounting with strong exposure to FP&A and Controllership.
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business partnering.
  • Experience handling large-scale finance operations and managing sizeable teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Hyperion, or similar platforms.
  • Proven experience in process transformation, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth, and client-facing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CA / CPA Mandatory.
  • Experience managing US-based clients/business units.
