Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President Technology Product Manager (Retail)
We are seeking an experienced Technology Product Leader to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of digital and retail technology products across our omnichannel ecosystem. This leader will own end-to-end product lifecycle across customer-facing and enterprise retail systems, ensuring scalable, high-performing solutions that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and business growth.
The ideal candidate combines strong product leadership, deep retail domain knowledge, and hands-on experience with digital commerce, store technologies, and data-driven decision making.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Define and execute product vision and multiyear roadmap across core retail platforms:
E-commerce & mobile
Point-of-Sale, store systems, and workforce tech
Merchandising, pricing, inventory, demand planning systems
Digital supply chain & fulfilment solutions (Click & Collect, last mile)
Customer experience & loyalty platforms
Align product strategy with business OKRs and enterprise digital transformation roadmap.
Customer & Market Insight
Lead customer research, internal stakeholder interviews, competitive benchmarking, and technology scouting.
Identify customer pain points and retail operational bottlenecks to prioritize impactful solutions.
Execution & Delivery
Oversee product discovery, requirements, backlog prioritization, and delivery.
Drive agile execution with engineering, UX, and business teams.
Ensure platform scalability, performance, security, and interoperability across enterprise systems.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner closely with Retail Ops, Supply Chain, Finance, Merchandising, Marketing, Data & Engineering.
Influence senior leaders to secure alignment, resources, and adoption.
People Leadership
Build and mentor high-performing PM teams.
Lead with customer-centricity, innovation mindset, and data-driven culture.
Financial & Performance Ownership
Own product financials, budget planning, business case creation, and ROI measurement.
Define KPIs for digital, store, and operational performance (AOV, conversion, stock accuracy, shrink, fulfillment SLAs).
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors in engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
MBA preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience
Relevant/Significant years in product management, with at least relevant years in leadership roles.
Strong experience in Retail, CPG, E-Commerce, Grocery, Quick Commerce, or Omnichannel businesses.
Proven track record scaling digital & retail tech platforms.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of:
Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Modern retail tech stacks: OMS, WMS, ERP (SAP/Oracle), POS, CRM/CDP, middleware, APIs
Agile frameworks, CI/CD, and product analytics tools
Data platforms, AI/ML use-cases, automation & robotics in retail
Ability to translate complex tech into business value.
Leadership & Behavioural
Executive-level communication, stakeholder influencing, and vendor management.
Strategic thinker with bias for action and measurable outcomes.
Ability to thrive in high-growth, matrixed environments.
