Job Description

Job Purpose

Lead large‑scale Operations Digitalization and Automation‑driven transformation across core Operations units including Trade Finance, Compliance, Retail Banking Operations, Corporate Banking Operations, and Shared Services. The role is accountable for defining and executing the Automation vision for Operations, enabling straight‑through processing, decision automation, productivity uplift, risk reduction, and regulatory compliance. Acting as a bridge between Operations, Technology, and Data, the incumbent ensures that business outcomes are achieved through scalable, secure, and responsible automation solutions that modernize processes and strengthen operational effectiveness.

  • Technology Acumen of Trending Industry Digital Technologies: Having a deep understanding of the latest digital technologies relevant to the industry, such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data analytics, and more. This knowledge helps in making informed decisions and choosing the right technologies for transforming the IT infrastructure and services.
  • Business Acumen to Harvest Digitalization Opportunities: Having business acumen involves understanding the organization's goals, processes, and challenges. Knowledge, Skills And Experience

  • 18+ years of experience in building and leading multi-cultural teams across regions
  • Experience in design, develop, deploy and support global enterprise IT services using agile development and CD/CI framework.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the banking sector, including knowledge of banking products, services, regulatory compliance, and industry trends.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure components, networking, servers, storage, and cloud computing, and the ability to design and manage a robust and scalable technology infrastructure.
  • Profound knowledge of cybersecurity principles, data protection, and information security best practices to safeguard sensitive customer data and the bank's digital assets.
  • Hands-on experience in identifying and managing technology-related risks and ensuring business continuity in the face of potential disruptions.
  • Responsible for reporting for financial and project updates to central governance functions.
  • Responsible for adhering to organizational guidelines of Risk and PMO practices.
  • Responsible for closing Internal and External audit recommendation within deadlines.
  • Experience in vendor selection, contract negotiation, and vendor performance management to ensure successful technology partnerships.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies, programming languages, and software engineering best practices to oversee application development and implementation.
  • Previous experience in spearheading digital transformation initiatives, implementing innovative technologies, and driving cultural change in the organization.
  • Good understanding about emerging markets and capability build up.
  • Working exposure to architecture, interfaces landscape and operational aspects at least within a mid-sized bank.
  • Publish reports on new tools and technologies in market assessment report.
  • Expertise in leveraging cutting-edge technologies, including robotic automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning, to drive digital transformation and automate critical initiatives.
  • Ability to design, architect systems and solutions from scratch
  • Proficiency in working with a diverse technology stack, including Windows, Linux, Oracle, SQL databases, MQ (Message Queue), API Gateway, Microservices, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and other cutting-edge cloud technologies
  • Ability to work as chapter lead in a dynamic / multi-tasked environment.
  • Relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • End to End Ownership all the applications in the cluster

  • Accountable for all the deliveries of projects and URF for the cluster

  • Ensure right level of engagement with architecture
  • Ensure non-functional requirements are implemented, and for the creation and maintenance of the associated documentation
  • Prepare root cause analysis of issues and present it to service management
  • Ensure the solution delivered meet business expectation, derive value and adhere to technology standards
  • Quality, cost and schedule management of assigned technology projects
  • Implement change management process for all change deliverables in Technology
  • Optimized technology solution delivery based on business requirements, existing applications, latest technology trends, total cost to operate, scalability and stability.
  • Focus on regulatory, control & audit requirements and manage all known risks related to team and projects.
  • Implement and deliver optimized Technology delivery for all changes working with Business, Technology operations, Technology Architects, ISG and Vendors
  • Minimize cost on technology deliverables by utilizing existing applications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with business partners across all levels.
  • Liaise with all functional teams, TOPS and other stakeholders on ensuring smooth closure of issues/concerns raised by business.
  • Accountable for the appropriateness of technology solutions delivered to assigned business / support units of the bank.
