Inviting applications for the role ofAssistant Vice President, Tech Engineering Lead - Expenses (Grade T3)

The Tech Engineering Lead for Expenses is accountable for the end-to-end technical design, configuration, integration, and implementation of Expense Management solutions - such as SAP Concur - within the broader finance technology ecosystem. This role owns and drives the technical roadmap, ensuring seamless alignment with expense processes, Target Operating Model (TOM) design, internal controls, and cross-application integrations. The Tech Engineering Lead is responsible for safeguarding global system performance, data integrity, process automation, compliance, and overall platform stability, enabling efficient and secure expense management operations across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical design, configuration, and integration of SAP Concur and related Expense Management technologies.

  • Own the technical roadmap for Expense solutions and ensure alignment with TOM, process design, controls, and business needs.

  • Define and track technical KPIs (e.g. uptime, integration success rates, data quality, automation levels, incident reduction).

  • Ensure cross-functional alignment across MGSF, P&O, DT teams, and Segments.

  • Provide recommendations on technical feasibility, integration options, and configuration trade-offs.

  • Manage build quality, testing standards, release management, and global deployment stability.

  • Configure workflows, audit rules, expense policies, dashboards, and data models.

  • Contribute to portfolio planning, backlog refinement, and prioritization.

  • Support continuous improvement, compliance automation, fraud detection capabilities, and digital enablement opportunities.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the product team and wider stakeholders by explaining technical options, functional implications, and trade-offs in simple business language.

  • Lead technical demos and walkthroughs of new expense capabilities (e.g., Concur configuration, workflow changes, mobile UX enhancements) to ensure stakeholders understand value and usability.

  • Coach Product team, Process SMEs, and end users in MGSF and Segments on how expense technology works (policy rules, audit automation, integration dependencies) to build internal capability and reduce reliance on external support.

  • Mentor junior members of team on engineering standards, release discipline, and automation practices, promoting ownership of delivery quality.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

  • Engineering, architecture, or platform configuration experience.

  • Bachelors%27 degree (or foreign degree equivalent):Engineering, Sciences, Technology.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong skills in managing relationships with various stakeholders, both technical and business-facing

  • Displaying leadership, organization and executions skills

  • Strong Hands-on experience with SAP Concur or similar Expense Management solutions. (including implementations, upgrades, enhancements and support)

  • Understanding finance processes, expense audit, controls, compliance rules, and integrations.

  • Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, ERP (SAP/others), and middleware integrations.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Ability to assess system configuration impacts, user experience, and process automation opportunities.

  • Strong technical problem solving and analytical capability.

  • Experience managing global deployments, multi-market requirements, and technical risk.

  • Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders

  • Behavioral skills to include transparency, technical judgment, continuous improvement mindset.

  • Understanding of Design Thinking, Agile, DevOps and SAFe methodologies, as well as product-based ways of working
